Graham qualified in 1988 as a Podiatrist and his clinical career has focused on improving care for patients with diabetes foot disease.  He has worked across the NHS in England and worked for 3 years in Canada. He qualified as an Independent prescriber in 2015.His present role is clinical lead Podiatry for Solent NHS Trust, which is a community provider that delivers a range of clinical contracts to 5 CCGs across the south of Hampshire. His focus of clinical work is aimed at improving clinical outcomes and preventing diabetes related amputations by the use innovation in the acute diabetes foot in wound care, offloading and redesigning clinical pathways. He has presented both nationally and internationally on the foot in diabetes. He is the current chair of FDUK (Foot In Diabetes UK). He is also a fellow of the College of Podiatry in recognition of his diabetes work. His presentation today will focus on “Optimising care of the foot in Diabetes: The pathway in Solent NHS Trust– one step at a time” giving an over view of the Diabetes Foot pathway and how it is important to optimise all aspects not only for the patient with an acute but also for these teams involved in delivering the care.
